George Robert White Schoolboy Stadium
White Stadium, erected in 1945 and located in the Playstead section of Franklin Park, seats 10,000 people and is used by local schools for sporting events, including track and football. Greater Roxbury Track Club hosts its Peace Games or GRTC Classic every June that is open to the public and all ages. Every August the Caribbean Kiddies Carnival with colorful costumes and youth steel drum bands takes place in the Stadium. Friday night football games have become a popular outing for nearby residents and players' families throughout the fall.
